Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct sets out how we expect everyone who works for or on behalf of BaduAds.com to behave. It covers employees, interns, contractors and anyone acting in our name. It doesn't answer every situation. When in doubt, ask: is it legal, is it honest, and would I be comfortable if our users saw it?

Treat people with respect

• Be courteous and professional with colleagues, users and partners.
• Do not discriminate, harass, bully or intimidate anyone (see Equal Opportunity).
• Respect different views and backgrounds, and keep disagreements about the work, not the person.

Protect our users

• Access user accounts, listings, messages or personal data only when your role requires it, and only for that purpose.
• Never share user information outside approved processes, and never use it for personal gain.
• Handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
• Apply moderation rules consistently. Do not approve, promote or remove listings as a favour.

Act with integrity

• Never offer, give, request or accept bribes, kickbacks or improper payments (see Ethical Business).
• Declare any conflict of interest, for example a personal stake in a seller, a supplier or a competing business.
• Do not post, boost or review listings on behalf of friends or family in a way other users couldn't.
• Keep accurate records. Never falsify data, metrics, invoices or reports.

Look after company assets and information

• Use company systems, accounts and equipment responsibly and mainly for work.
• Keep confidential information confidential, including unreleased plans, financials, source code and security details.
• Follow our security practices. Use strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication where available, and report suspected incidents immediately.

Communicate responsibly

• Only authorised people speak publicly on behalf of BaduAds.com.
• On social media, make clear when views are your own, and never share confidential or user information.
• Be honest in advertising and sales. Don't promise features, results or prices we can't deliver.

Safe and healthy workplace

Follow safety instructions, report hazards and never work under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Violence or threats of violence are never acceptable.

Speaking up and consequences

If you see something that breaks this Code, speak up to your manager, to management, or confidentially through our Whistleblower Policy. Breaches are investigated fairly and may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract, and referral to the authorities where the law requires.
