Whistleblower Policy

How to raise a concern about wrongdoing, confidentially and without fear of retaliation.

Last updated

We want to hear about wrongdoing so we can stop it. This policy explains how to raise a concern about BaduAds.com, how we handle it and how we protect people who speak up.

Who can use this policy

Anyone: employees, former employees, interns, contractors, suppliers, partners, and users of BaduAds.com.

What you can report

Raise a concern if you reasonably believe something improper has happened, is happening or is likely to happen, for example:

  • fraud, theft, bribery or corruption;
  • misuse or unauthorised disclosure of user data;
  • manipulation of listings, reviews, moderation or metrics;
  • breaches of our Code of Conduct or of the law;
  • discrimination, harassment or bullying;
  • risks to health, safety or security;
  • deliberately hiding any of the above.

For an ordinary problem with a listing, payment or your account, please use our contact page instead. For a security vulnerability, see Cyber Security.

How to raise a concern

  1. Email support@baduads.com with the subject line "Confidential concern".
  2. Employees and contractors may also speak to their manager or to senior management directly.

Include as much detail as you can: what happened, when and where, who was involved, and any documents or evidence. You don't need proof, only a reasonable belief. Please don't investigate on your own.

Anonymous reports

You may report anonymously, for example from an email address that doesn't identify you. Anonymous reports are harder to investigate because we can't ask follow-up questions, so please check that email address for our replies.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your report, normally within five working days.
  2. A person not involved in the matter assesses it and decides how to look into it.
  3. If needed, we investigate fairly and promptly, and we may involve independent advisers or the authorities.
  4. We tell you when the matter has been dealt with. Confidentiality or the law may limit how much detail we can share.

Confidentiality

We keep your identity confidential and share it only with people who need to know to handle the concern, unless you agree otherwise or the law requires disclosure.

Protection from retaliation

No one will be dismissed, demoted, harassed or otherwise disadvantaged for raising a concern in good faith, even if it turns out to be mistaken. Retaliating against someone who speaks up is itself a serious breach of our Code of Conduct.

Deliberately making a false report to harm someone is not protected and may lead to disciplinary action.
