Ethical Business

We want BaduAds.com to grow because people find it genuinely useful, not because of shortcuts. These are the principles behind how we run the business.

Honest marketplace

• No fake activity. We do not create fake listings, fake buyers, fake reviews or invented statistics to make the marketplace look busier than it is.
• Clearly labelled promotions. Paid placements such as Featured or Urgent are labelled so buyers can tell promoted listings from ordinary ones.
• Same rules for everyone. Every listing must follow the same posting rules, and paying for a promotion doesn't exempt a listing from them.

Fair and transparent pricing

• Prices for plans and promotions are published on our pricing page in LKR, with what you get and how long it lasts.
• No hidden fees. If a price changes, the new price applies to new purchases, not to plans you've already paid for.
• Refunds follow our published Refund Policy.

Anti-bribery and corruption

We do not tolerate bribery or corruption in any form. No one working for or on behalf of BaduAds.com may offer, give, request or accept anything of value to improperly influence a decision, whether with a public official, a business partner or a user. This includes "facilitation payments" to speed up routine actions. We comply with Sri Lanka's Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023.

Gifts and hospitality

Modest, occasional gifts or hospitality, such as a festive season sweet box, may be acceptable if they are not meant to influence a decision and would not embarrass us if made public. Cash or cash equivalents are never acceptable. When unsure, declare it and ask.

Conflicts of interest

A conflict of interest arises when personal interests could influence, or appear to influence, your work decisions. Examples include owning part of a supplier, moderating a relative's listings or working for a competitor. Declare potential conflicts early so they can be managed openly.

Fair competition

We compete on the quality of our product. We do not make false claims about competitors, misuse their confidential information or agree with other businesses to fix prices or divide markets.

Data and privacy

We collect only the data we need to run the marketplace, protect it carefully and never sell personal data. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Accurate records and lawful conduct

Our financial records, invoices and reports must be complete and accurate. We comply with the laws that apply to our business, including tax, consumer protection and data protection laws, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
